About Us

We are a small Indie Games Design and Development Studio, started in 2007 by the ex-Technical Director of
Kodetank Ltd., Derek Stobbs. This business was initially created as a freelance developer to work with Kodetank Ltd. and EM Studios, but we now have a team of skilled game development staff.

Experience

Games developed in-part by BitShift so far include: Flash web games; a Java mobile phone game; and two
commercial Nintendo DS titles. The Managing Director is involved in teaching on the Games Development courses at
University of West of Scotland (UWS) and has several years of commercial experience with DC Studios, Kodetank Ltd., and EM Studios. Other members of the team are mainly students and graduates from the Games courses at UWS.

For the future

We have several IP to be developed, including small Flash, mobile, and Xbox Live indie games, with larger projects in the pipeline. Our team is comprised of skilled students and graduates, with varying degrees of experience, with all of us dedicated to the creation of fun, innovative games. Interested in joining us?
